Frequently Asked Questions

Where are you located?
Our address is at 7 Admiral Rd, Toronto, ON M5R2L4. Our office is conveniently located in the Annex area of Toronto. We are easily accessible by TTC and only a five minute walk from the St. George TTC station.

How do I make an appointment?
To make an appointment, you may fill out a request for booking to schedule a free 20 minute consultation.

How long are appointments?
Session length will vary depending on the type of service. Initial sessions are typically 90 minutes to allow time to review the consent form and gather background information on you and your situation. Most therapy sessions are 50 minutes but may be 90 minutes in some cases (e.g., couple therapy) or if you and your therapist agree that it would be clinically beneficial.

Do you provide virtual services to people residing outside of Ontario?
No, we are only able to provide virtual services to individuals residing in Ontario. In addition, you must be physically in Ontario at the time of our session.

Are there any other requirements of virtual appointments?
You must be in a private space during all sessions. If you share your space with others, please make sure you have headphones and have access to a private room for the duration of your session. We do not hold sessions in any public spaces, including coffee shops, stores, or public outdoor locations, even if you are wearing headphones or the space is empty. Any sessions initiated in such spaces will need to be rescheduled and the cancellation/no show policy will apply.

What is your policy for missed or cancelled sessions?
We have a strict 24 hour cancellation policy. If you cannot make an appointment, please let your therapist know 24 hours prior to your scheduled time. The full fee will be charged for late cancellations or missed appointments. Insurance companies do not provide reimbursement for cancelled or missed sessions.

Are your services covered by OHIP?
Psychological services, including psychotherapy and assessments provided by a registered psychologist, social worker or psychotherapist are not covered by OHIP. However, you may receive coverage under your private extended benefit plan or workplace benefits. Please check with your insurance plan to determine the extent of your coverage prior to services. Be sure you are clear on what services they cover (e.g., psychotherapy, assessment), by what providers (psychologist, social worker, psychotherapist) and how much they cover. Any portion of the fees not eligible for insurance coverage may be tax-deductible.

Do you offer direct billing to insurance?
We are registered to provide services through the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board Community Mental Health Program and accept Medavie Blue Cross for services offered through Veterans Affairs Canada. Unless you are receiving pre-approved services through these programs, we do not provide direct billing to insurance. Payment is due at the time of service through credit card or e-transfer. Once payment is received, we will provide you with a receipt that you can submit to your insurance plan for reimbursement.
